Online Research-based resources for parents prior to pre-school
When the founders of the hit Baby Einstein approached us to assist with video optimization and encryption of their videos, as part of their new startup WeeSchool, we were more than happy to assist. The WeeSchool team spent a lot of time and money creating their unique content, so it was only natural that they would want to protect these videos online.
We worked with their dev team to encrypt and encode their videos at multiple-bitrates, to ensure a smooth and secure delivery of their content. Their premium videos are now encoded and delivered in a similar fashion to that of Netflix, adjusting accordingly to the bandwidth and connection quality of a user's device, all while being encrypted to ensure that they are not copied.
We also optimized WeeSchools's videos for online app + web + AppleTV delivery, reducing their bandwidth costs by up to 80%. When considering that CDN's like Amazon AWS charge per gigabyte, the savings alone were substantial. Smaller optimized videos also meant delivering a significantly better experience for their customer, as their devices were accessing smaller files. Several of their production videos were in excess of 89gb but were re-coded down to less than 1GB.
